Draft2Gether Overview
Draft2Gether is a tool for groups which need to build documents based on a democratic discussion and approval process. Draft2Gether allows you to:
- create documents shared with user groups. Each group will have one or more moderators. It will be possible to invite new members via email. Each member will be able to contact the whole group by writing an email to a dedicated email address. Each member will have access to every document linked to the group and will be able to see the development draft phase and several statistics about each document. Each user will be able to subscribe to more groups.
- publish amendments to documents with a single click. Each user will be able to edit and propose modifications to a document, while he/she is reading it, simply by selecting the part of text that he/she wants to modify and by writing his/her proposal in the window that appears.
- vote and comment on each proposed amendment separately. It will also be possible to write or comment on a proposed amendment and to express a rating about a comment to a proposal of amendment.
- assign a user-defined development phase to documents, for example "first draft" or "latest modifications" or "finished", "read again". In this way it's really easy to identify different moments in the document's development.
- be constantly updated about a document's development, subscribing to an RSS feed or using a special free API to receive information about the latest modifications made to a document or a group of documents we are interested in.
- participate off-line, expressing your modification proposals and your votes via phone, fax or paper mail. In this way, those who can't use a computer or have no internet connection are also able to participate in developing documents cooperatively.
